Zapraszam na spektakl inspirowany podróżą do Polski i spotkaniami z Polakami, spektakl w języku angielskim, ale jestem pewna ze zrozumialu dla kazdego. serdecznie zapraszamy!
Karaoke is not voices you know
not about only voices.
I think it’s about emotion you know.
But voice you know it’s...
some people have… some people haven’t
But emotion it’s first.
Later somebody like...
somebody don’t like singing
«Poland Polas» von formation poe:son
A documentary night at the theater in broken English
Warsaw, a beer garden. Early evening.
Who does not know. You sit on a warm late summer evening outside, somewhere beneath the foliage, enjoying a beer or two or three and then suddenly comes the soulful intro of Percy Sledge "When A Man Loves A Woman", except that there is not Percy, but a babyfaced young man who sings with all his heard on that karaoke stage , or at least thinks he does. The text of the refrain he has learned, the rest he needs to read .........
Under a grant from Pro Helvetia Sarah-Maria Bürgin has developed in Poland over a period of five months, "Poland Polas."
From the interviews, that Bürgin conducted for the research work, five actors were chosen to adapt the original roles for the stage. The narrated documentary manner of the texts blends with the songs that are sung on the karaoke stage creating a mood that gives the songs a nostalgic mood in our present time....
